Fenn Tower stands as one of Cleveland State University’s most iconic and beloved landmarks - a powerful symbol of our history, our resilience, and our commitment to progress. Originally constructed in 1930, Fenn Tower has witnessed nearly a century of transformation in the heart of downtown Cleveland. With its striking architecture and storied past, the tower continues to serve a vital role on campus as a residence hall, providing students with more than just a place to live - it offers a unique connection to the legacy of those who came before them.

This project represents more than just a renovation - it is a renewal of purpose. By preserving Fenn Tower’s historic character while making critical structural, masonry, and interior upgrades, we are ensuring that future generations of students can continue to call this extraordinary building home. From reinforcing the structural steel and restoring the timeless masonry façade to upgrading every residential floor for modern comfort and safety, we are honoring the past while building for the future. Through this transformation, Fenn Tower will not only remain a pillar of CSU’s landscape but also continue to inspire pride, community, and belonging for all who walk its halls.
