The Galleries at CSU Host Graphic Advocacy and Cleveland Clinic Explorers Exhibitions May 15 - June 21

The Galleries at CSU, located at 1307 Euclid Avenue, announce two new exhibitions: Graphic Advocacy: International Posters for the Digital Age and 2014 Cleveland Clinic Explorers.

Graphic Advocacy: International Posters for the Digital Age, hosted in the venue's North and Center Galleries, boasts a collection of socially responsible poster art curated by Elizabeth Resnick, professor and chair of graphic design at the Massachusetts College of Art And Design. Cosponsored by AIGA Cleveland, the exhibit examines the poster's role beyond the limitations of the printed surface, emphasizing its continued relevance and evolution into a modern tool for support and protest.

The 2014 Cleveland Clinic Explorers exhibition, featuring selected works by Northeast Ohio students in grades K-8, offers reflection in the studies of health and wellness. The students, who earlier this year attended presentations dealing with topics such as bullying, diabetes, asthma, exercise and nutrition, designed the works to share their learnings with the world. CSU, Cleveland Clinic, its caregivers, teachers and students are proud to collaborate on this program.

Both exhibitions open with a reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15. The exhibitions will run through June 21.

Admission is free. Summer hours are Mondays through Thursdays by appointment, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays, and noon to 8 p.m. on Saturdays. The Galleries are closed on Sundays.
