Thank You to All the Generous Supporters Who Helped Radiance Reach its $500,000 Goal

33 percent increase over last year

CSU’s signature event in support of student scholarships raised $500,000, which will enable the university to award Radiance scholarships to undergraduate students in good academic standing who were at risk for dropping out of school due to financial issues. This year’s event raised 33 percent more than the inaugural event’s total of $377,000.

A cocktail/hors d'oeuvres/dessert reception with short program, Radiance included a celebration of scholarship with President Ronald M. Berkman and students, musical entertainment, and presentation of the President's Medal to alumnus Donald E. Washkewicz, chairman, CEO and president of Parker Hannifin Corporation. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from CSU's Fenn College of Engineering in 1972. The President's Medal is the most prestigious non-academic recognition that the University confers.

Radiance is presented by Cleveland State University, the Cleveland State University Foundation and title sponsor Parker Hannifin Corporation.
