Division of Student Belonging and Success

CSU's new Division of Student Belonging and Success is designed around a growing body of research linking a college student’s sense of identity and belonging to their academic success and timely graduation. We strive to create an ecosystem designed to support CSU students academically and in all aspects of their college experience.

CARE at CSU

All students, faculty, and staff are valuable members of the CSU Community. We want you to know you are not alone in addressing concerns or barriers in your life; CARE is here for you. Community Assessment Response & Evaluation, better known as CARE, works collaboratively to support your well-being and safety, while promoting a culture that encourages reporting of concerns. We are a community, and we support each other. Because we CARE.

LIFT UP VIKES!

Lift Up Vikes! offers a convenient, dignified, and compassionate process through which CSU students are connected to resources that supplement nutrition and other basic human needs as they strive to earn a college degree.

We provide resources, support, and programming that promotes the academic and personal growth and development of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning (+) students and their allies, and work to create a more inclusive and welcoming campus for all.

The Center for Campus Engagement

Our priority is to cultivate an environment for building a vibrant, engaging community through leadership development, programming, and learning opportunities. We work with our campus colleagues and partners to support students and student organizations.  We promote leadership development, positive campus traditions, and community involvement at the University.

The Howard A. Mims African American Cultural Center

Formerly known as the Afro-American Cultural Center (AACC), the AACC was renamed in 2004 to honor the legacy of Howard A. Mims, director of the Black Studies Program from 1991-2001. The African Art Center features a permanent collection of African art, contemporary and traditional works by African American artists, revolving exhibits on the art, culture, and history of Africa and the African Diaspora, along with formal and informal events such as colloquia, films, and programs tailored for student retention, providing a space for students to relax, engage in discussions, study, socialize, receive tutoring, and explore career opportunities.
