Throughout his career as a real estate appraiser and consultant, Everett has worked hard for the realization of fair housing goals in Cleveland. He was the first black president of the Cleveland Area Board of Realtors which, until 1961, did not even have black members. He has committed himself to improving the urban environment and has encouraged local realtors to become involved with their communities.
