Toni J. White is the Program Coordinator for economic inclusion at Cleveland State University (CSU) Levin College of Urban Affairs. In this role, she proudly coordinates the administrative duties of the Greater University Circle Initiative (GUCI). The goals of the GUCI are to rebuild neighborhoods and improve the economic opportunities of the people who live there. She has worked in a support capacity in community development for the past four years. Prior to her position at CSU, Toni was a valuable employee of the Cleveland Foundation, the world’s oldest community foundation. Toni served as a Program Assistant and supported new and innovative projects that transformed metropolitan areas, creating economic opportunities for low-income families and the communities in which they live.
In her current role at CSU, she works with this region's anchor institutions and staffs the Economic Inclusion Management Committee (EIMC) while providing support to the Program Manager of Economic Inclusion. She is responsible for the coordination of all Economic Inclusion Management Committee meetings and all related subcommittee meetings - EIMC Executive Committee; Buy Local, Hire Local and Live Local; Greater University Circle (GUC) Human Resource Information Systems meetings; and the Local Food Purchasing Group. Additionally, she provides administrative support to the both Co-Chair of the Advisory Board and the Director of the Center for Population Dynamics. She Serves on the Cleveland State University Levin Diversity Council and on the Cleveland State University Supplier Diversity Committee. Finally, she has developed and continues to build upon a special expertise in community re-entry efforts that she is sharing with GUC residents and businesses.
Toni has received certificate of completions from the Hispanic Business Center for small business development program, from Economic Community Development Institute for business development and from Gigfinity for small business resource marketing and promotion.
