Dr. Iryna Demko is a Research Associate at the Center for Economic Development in the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. Prior to joining CSU, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University. Iryna holds her Ph.D. degree in Agricultural, Environmental and Resource Economics from Penn State University, where she studied U.S. organic trade and impacts from organic equivalency policies under supervision of Prof. Edward Jaenicke. Iryna has co-authored three reports to the Organic Trade Association on U.S. organic trade and one peer-reviewed publication on the impact of European Union-U.S. organic equivalency arrangement on U.S. exports. Iryna’s collaboration experience includes U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Organic Trade Association, and USDA’s Economic Research Service.
