Position: Performance Intern

The Auditor of State’s Internship Program is a paid position, open to high-performing undergraduate and graduate students from Ohio universities. Interns will contribute to active audit teams, assisting in analyzing data, identifying best practices, and developing practical solutions. Position: Community and Economic Development Internship - Summer 2019

Job Responsibilities:

The City of Shaker Heights Economic Development Department is seeking a part-time community and economic development intern to assist economic development staff with ongoing projects and department responsibilities. This is an unpaid, volunteer position for Summer 2019; flexible 10-20 hours for 2-4 days per week. The position is available approximately May-August.

Position: Affordable Housing and Economic Development Intern

Position: Policy Intern

Position: Community Engagement & Research Intern

FHRC seeks a motivated student or recent graduate to participate in this non-profit advocacy organization with a large research project commissioned by a local municipality. This project requires identification and research into the municipality to determine their efforts in tackling the following:

  • Addressing significant disparities in access to community assets (schools, jobs, transit, etc.)
  • Overcoming segregated living patterns;
  • Promoting integrated communities;
  • Ending racially and ethnically concentrated areas of poverty; and

Position: Brooklyn City Council Intern
Company: Brooklyn City Council

Since City Council is a part-time position and fulfilled within evening hours, most of the contact will be through email and phone (Meg does work downtown and would be willing to meet on a regular basis on CSU campus as well). The primary job of the intern will be to research (and potentially apply) for grant funding for project ideas, including around community development and the domestic abuse commission. Position: Process Control & Automation Network B-STEM Intern
Company: Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District

Candidate must be able to work 40 hours per week. Working hours are Monday – Friday during normal business hours. Candidate must be able to commit to up to a 3 month assignment with an option to extend the assignment at NEORSD's discretion. This internship program provides for a time-limited role at NEORSD with no express or implied guarantee of future employment beyond the assignment period. This position is governed by all applicable NEORSD administrative policies, practices and procedures related to temporary employees.

The District requires protective footwear (i.e., steel or composite-toed) when working in the plants, pump stations, construction sites, public rights-of-way and other posted areas. New hires are required to have protective footwear, meeting the following criteria, on the first day of employment: 1) Must be ANSI Z41-1999 or ASTM F-2412/2413 (2005) certified, 2) Must have a steel or composite protective toe, 3) Must be, at a minimum, a 6” work boot or 6” hiker-style boot (Note: shoes are not permitted), 4) Must have a slip-resistant sole.  It is also recommended, but not required, that footwear be waterproof and have included a shank to protect the bottom of the foot.
