Cindie received her MPA (health care specialization) from Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs in 1989, and received the William Roland Hopkins Award as the top MPA graduate of that year. In 1995 she received the Ohio Public Health Association Graduate Student of the Year Award and the Professional Award in the Maternal and Child Health Section from the American Public Health Association. She has published widely and presented papers at local, national and international conferences.
