PROCEDURES FOR SETTING UP ADVISING APPOINTMENTS
If you need advising this summer, please read the instructions below.
- First, please be aware that the Psychology Department’s website features an Advising section (http://www.csuohio.edu/sciences/psychology/undergraduate-advising). On this page you can find the Department’s Undergraduate Handbook, which answers many commonly-asked questions.
- If you are a first-year student who has not yet earned 30 credits you will be advised by the First-Year Advising Office. In your My Success Network in Starfish you should see a listing for your First-Year Advisor or for the First-Year Advising Office. Use Starfish or contact them by phone/email to make an appointment.
- If you are no longer a first-year student and want to talk about the requirements of the Psychology major or minor or graduate school, use Starfish’s “My Success Network” to schedule an appointment with “Psychology Department Advising.”
- If you are no longer a first-year student and have questions about your General Education requirements, you should use Starfish to make an appointment with your Staff advisor. This advisor should also be listed in your My Success Network. Your advisor is probably with the COSHP or CLASS Advising Offices, but depending on your circumstances it might instead be someone from TRIO, Honors, Athletics, etc.
