How do I apply to the MOT Program?
Applications are available through OTCAS on or about July 18th and remain open until the October 1st deadline. Refer to our Application Process page (insert link to Application Process) for full details.
How many students are accepted into the CSU MOT Program? How many apply?
The program accepts 45 students annually from a pool of over 300 applicants.
How do I know if a course I took at another university is equivalent to a CSU course?
What if I need to take prerequisite courses?
Students may take approved prerequisites at CSU or receive approval for courses at other universities. Many Ohio universities courses are listed on the Equivalency Chart MOT Course Equivalency Chart.docx
. If a student is not receiving a degree from CSU, the prerequisite courses should be taken as non-degree undergraduate.
Can I apply even if my prerequisites are not complete?
Students are eligible to apply to the CSU MOT Program even if all prerequisite courses are not complete at the time of application. However, all eight prerequisites must be completed before the MOT Program start date in the fall, and four of the eight, including equivalents of two of the natural sciences, must be complete by the October 1st application deadline.
Are volunteer/shadowing hours required?
Although not required, spending time in a variety of OT settings is strongly recommended for the applicant’s understanding of the profession and the role of the occupational therapist.
