Preparation for the RNC

Preparation for RNC

  1. Update your CampusNet account and ensure that the CSU Alert data is correct.
  2. Download the Rave Guardian app for quick communication with CSU Police.
      - These steps should be completed by everyone whether or not they plan to be on campus next week!
    1. If you see any unusual activity (e.g. protesters gathering) call 216-687-2020 immediately.  The CSU Police Dispatch center will be staffed around the clock and needs our eyes and ears to help keep our campus safe.
    2. Supervisors must keep track of their personnel and rally them to safety as situations dictate.
    3. Everyone should be aware of all evacuation routes in the buildings they work and plan accordingly.
    4. We should also be familiar with the fundamentals of the CSU Emergency Procedure Guidelines.
    5. Everyone should become familiar with the University policies regarding political/campaign activities and plan accordingly http://www.csuohio.edu/general-counsel/political-campaign-activity-faqs
    6. Finally, each employee should be familiar with the Departmental Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and have its own internal communication plan for a situation where power and network on campus are temporarily out and messages need to be communicated.

These practices are standards that should be implemented as part of regular operations, but are especially important for those of us who will be on campus for events next week.

The University will adhere to its Expressive Activity Policy http://www.csuohio.edu/sites/default/files/Expressive-Activity-Policy.pdf so we may have a diverse group of voices on campus.

Thanks to everyone for all that you are doing in preparation for next week.
