Sigma Theta Tau International - Advising

Sigma Theta Tau is the international honor society for nurses. It recognizes superior achievement and the development of leadership qualities, fosters high professional standards, encourages creative work, and strengthens commitment to the ideals and purposes of the nursing profession. Currently there are 470 chapters world-wide.

Mission

The mission of Sigma Theta Tau International is to support the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide.

Society Vision

The vision of Sigma Theta Tau International is to create a global community of nurses who lead in using knowledge, scholarship, service and learning to improve the health of the world’s people.

Nu Delta Chapter
Cleveland State University

The Nu Delta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International at Cleveland State University has over 175 current members. Each year, the Nu Delta Chapter inducts current students in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, nursing alumni, and community leaders who have demonstrated superior scholastic achievement, leadership, and potential or marked achievement in the field of nursing. The criteria for membership are academic excellence, leadership potential, and professional behaviors by students.
