College of Sciences and health professions

Millions of dollars of faculty grant funding each year mean that students are exposed to a range of cutting-edge research while benefitting from personalized graduation plans, plus access to both a professional staff advisor and a faculty advisor. Our exceptional facilities include newly renovated chemistry laboratories, the state-of-the-art Center for Innovation in the Medical Professions, an on-campus speech and hearing clinic, and a human gross anatomy lab. Students are taught by nationally and internationally recognized faculty and supported with supplemental math and science instruction and tutoring. The College also houses the Office of Pre-Professional Programs, which provides additional services to students interested in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry and veterinary medicine.

Pre-Professional Health Programs is an office dedicated to the holistic and professional development of pre-professional students as they navigate this challenging process. Through interactive workshops, student organizations and advising, pre-med students are prepped for the option to apply to the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED)-CSU Partnership for Urban Health as a possibility for their future medical career.
