In partnership with the SAS Institute, Inc. and Progressive Insurance, Cleveland State University will host their second SAS Day at CSU: Analyzing Data in a Connected World. The event, to be held on Friday, Aug. 19 from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM in the CSU Student Center, will feature leading experts, an interactive panel discussion and networking opportunities for northeast Ohio businesses, data professionals and SAS users.
This opportunity to learn more about Big Data and Business Analytics is free and open to the public. Registration is required and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Keynote speakers include Bryan Harris, Vice President of Cyber Research and Development at SAS; Dr. Andre de Waal, co-developer of the AutoGANN modeling node in SAS Enterprise Miner and an Analytical Consultant in the Global Academic Program at the SAS Institute; and Brian Durkin, Innovation Strategist at Progressive Insurance.
"Organizations today are relying on data and business analytics to formulate strategy and influence decision-making," said Dr. Ray Henry, Associate Professor and Director of the Business Analytics program in the Monte Ahuja College of Business at CSU. "Every minute of every day, there is more data and information than ever before and from more sources. Events like SAS Day at CSU are an opportunity for professionals, faculty and students to come together to learn, network and hopefully take that knowledge and apply it to the challenges they face."
As part of the day's events Dr. Henry will lead an interactive panel discussion comprised of senior analytics executives from Northeast Ohio business and industry.
"We are proud of our partnership with SAS and excited to bring this opportunity to the Cleveland community and to Cleveland State University students," added Henry. "Overall, the event demonstrates Cleveland State University's commitment to providing engaged learning opportunities that can impact Northeast Ohio."
