Important Updates from Payroll regarding Kronos (MyTime) Service Disruption

Dear Faculty and Staff,

First and foremost, please be aware that Payroll has completed the processing of the 12/15 semi-monthly and 12/17/21 biweekly payrolls. The Kronos (MyTime) service disruption did not impact these payrolls. In addition, CSU does not share any sensitive employee data with Kronos.

The service disruption impacts the next payrolls, 12/31 semi-monthly and 12/31 biweekly. CSU will engage in manual time collection. Please note that currently the vendor has not provided an estimated time for a resolution, so the manual time collection may carry forward into subsequent payrolls.

Manual Time Collection Process for biweekly paid employees:

1. Employees provide their hours worked, by day, to their supervisors, starting with 12/5/21.

2. Payroll provides supervisors excel spreadsheets of their employees, for the pay period 12/5 to 12/18. The spreadsheets will be distributed shortly.

3. Supervisors complete the excel spreadsheets and submit them to the payroll email box. Instructions will be included with the spreadsheets. To ensure timely and accurate payroll, the supervisors must submit the spreadsheets by 5 pm on 12/17/21.

Manual Time Collection Process for semi-monthly paid employees:

1. Employees provide their exception hours, such as sick and vacation, by day, to their supervisors, starting with 12/1/21.

2. Payroll provides supervisors excel spreadsheets of their employees, for the pay period 12/1 to 12/15.
