Faculty Grants Abroad and other International Opportunities

The International and Foreign Language Education (IFLE) office at the U.S. Department of Education is  pleased to announce the competition for the fiscal year (FY) 2020 Title VI Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language (UISFL) program.

The UISFL program provides seed funding to plan, develop, and carry out new programs to strengthen and improve undergraduate instruction in international studies and foreign languages. Current UISFL grantees include community colleges, small four-year colleges and universities, and Minority-Serving Institutions.

The FY 2020 UISFL application package is now available at www.grants.gov. The deadline for submitting applications is March 24, 2020.

IFLE expects to make 30 new awards totaling approximately $2.8 million under the FY 2020 UISFL competition. For more information, click here.
