On January 11th, new graduate students made their way to campus amidst snow and ice storms. Gathering in the Student Center Ballroom for the College of Graduate Studies Student Orientation, incoming students learned about Cleveland State University, the College of Graduate Studies, student success, and grad student life from more than a dozen presenters. College of Graduate Studies Dean, Dr. Nigamanth Sridhar and Associate Dean, Dr. Donna Schultheiss, welcomed new master and doctoral students, most of whom were visiting campus for the first time. The afternoon activities closed with a lively student panel discussion and a Grad Student Welcome Reception, hosted by the Graduate & Professional Student Association.
New this semester, the College of Graduate Studies also introduced an online orientation course as a convenience to students who were unable to attend the live event. Graduate Student Orientation is sponsored by the College of Graduate Studies in fall and spring semesters.
