Three Minute Thesis competitions are  held in over 600 universities and institutions across 65 countries worldwide preparing master’s and doctoral students to successfully describe their research in three minutes to a non-specialist audience. Developed by the University of Queensland, the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT®) cultivates students’ academic  presentation, research communication skills, and their capacity to consolidate their ideas for all audiences to understand.  

The College of Graduate Studies offers this fourth annual program to encourage students to develop and articulate their 3MT skills through participation in the CSU Three Minute Thesis Competition in February 2019.  Judges will score each presentation and monetary prizes will be awarded to the top two students. In addition, the College of Graduate Studies will sponsor an overall winner to represent Cleveland State University at the MAGS Three Minute Thesis Competition in St. Louis, Missouri in March 2019.  Click here for additional details.
