MGRS 2019 Research Symposium

CSU students present at 10th Annual Midwest Graduate Research Symposium

The Midwest Graduate Research Symposium (MGRS), largest student led research symposium in the region, provides opportunities for students to present their research and gain professional development and collaboration to students invited from 90+ universities. The University of Toledo hosts the symposium events including research presentations, training workshops, and opportunities to build professional relationships. Over 200 students participated from a multitude of disciplines and research at various stages. All presenters gained constructive feedback from faculty in their respective fields to help them refine their research and presentation skills.

The 10th Annual MGRS is the largest multi-disciplinary graduate symposium in the Midwest, supported by the National Science Foundation and Northern Ohio AGEP Alliance (NOA-AGEP). Created to increase the number of underrepresented minority students completing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) doctoral degrees and to prepare them for entry into the professoriate, NOA-AGEP includes Cleveland State University, Bowling Green State University, Case Western Reserve University, Kent State University, University of Akron, University of Toledo, and Youngstown State University.
