International Admissions

FAQ: During The Admissions Process

What is the admission process?

Applications are reviewed for admission only after all application materials and the application fee have been received. Undergraduate applications are reviewed by the Office of Admissions and graduate applications are reviewed by the academic departments.

My application has been sent for review. What does this mean?

This means that your application is complete and is currently under review.  You will also receive an email when a decision has been made.

When will I know my admission decision?

Completed undergraduate applications are processed within a few business days. It can take a few weeks to a few months for a decision to be made on a completed graduate application depending on the department. You will receive an email when a decision has been made on your application.

How do I change my application to a different semester?

If you are unable to begin the semester you applied for, then you have the option of changing your application to the next available semester. Please send application change requests to admissions@csuohio.edu and include your CSU ID.

Do I need to submit financial documents at the time of application?

No, financial documents are not required until after you are admitted. The CISP International Team will email you a Newly Admitted I-20 Request form. Fill this form out immediately and attach all of the financial documentation that is required. Form I-20s will not be processed until the Newly Admitted I-20 Request form is received.
