Scholarships

Scholarship deadline for Fall 2019/Spring 2020 has passed. Please check back later for updates.

For the scholarships listed for the college applicants need to be enrolled or intending to enroll in the College of Engineering, must be a U.S.. citizen or eligible non-citizen (unless otherwise indicated), and be in good standing with the university (Freshman are exempt). Some scholarships will have specific criteria listed in addition to the above mentioned. All scholarships are annual (fall/spring) unless otherwise noted.

Incoming freshman and returning undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the Washkewicz Scholars program. Follow the link for more information and the application. The application period for this award is now closed for the 2019/2020 school year. Applications closed on March 3, 2019.

  • Undergraduate or graduate student
  • Provided as reimbursement only, requires original receipt
  • Fall and spring
  • Must have minimum GPA of 3.0
  • One award per year per student
  • Awards are given on a first come, first served basis
  • Only 10 awards are given
  • Priority is given to new applicants

General Electric Scholars (in collaboration with College of Sciences and Health Professions)
  • Currently enrolled full time undergraduate student (rising Sophomore, junior, or senior standing)
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Submit and essay on the topic " How do you plan to use your STEM education at Cleveland State University to improve the human condition, locally, nationally, and/or globally?"
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are MC2STEM High School graduates and are majoring in a STEM program at CSU
  • Students majoring in STEM programs from other Cleveland Metropolitan School Districts high schools or who are MC2STEM graduates not in a STEM area are also encouraged to apply.

Community College Transfer Scholarship
  • Awards up to $2000
  • Undergraduate only
  • Renewable for an additional year provided student maintains a 3.0 GPA
  • 3.0 or higher GPA from a community college in math and science coursework
  • Sponsored by Parker Hannifin Corp.

Incoming freshman and returning undergraduate students are eligible to apply for Michael D. Pollock and the Felicia P. Pollock scholarships.  
Michael D. Pollock Scholarship
  • Graduated from a Fenn Academy partner high school
  • Declared major in the college of engineering
  • Freshman applicants should have an ACT score of 24, upper-class applicants should have a GPA of 3.0
  • 2 reference letters are needed from a teacher, school administrator, or professor speaking to your academic and leadership abilities
  • Current or former member of the Boy Scouts of America, or similar leadership organization
Felicia Peters Pollock Scholarship
  • Graduated from a Fenn Academy partner high school
  • Declared major in the college of engineering
  • Freshman applicants should have an ACT score of 24, upper-class applicants should have a GPA of 3.0
  • 2 reference letters are needed from a teacher, school administrator, or professor speaking to your academic and leadership abilities
  • Current or former member of the Girl Scouts of America, or similar leadership organization
     

All scholarships are offered pending available funds.
