Electrical Engineering Continuing Scholarships

Electrical Engineering majors who will be in their sophomore, junior, or senior years in the academic year 2023-24 are welcome to apply. 

Note: Please use your cumulative GPA of the most recent completed semester, e.g., when applying in Spring '24, use your Fall '23 cumulative GPA.

Calvin B. Dalton Memorial Scholarship (sponsored by AECOM): Award up to $1000, annual. Must have a 3.2 or higher GPA. Minority applicants preferred. Have an interest in a career in consulting engineering.

Chia Fan Foundation Scholarship Fund: Award up to $2000, annual. Must have a GPA of 2.6 or higher. Demonstrated financial need.

James D. & Margaret F. Heckelman Endowed Scholarship: Award up to $3000, annual. Renewable. Demonstrated financial need.

John W. Robertson Endowed Scholarship Fund: Award up to $1100, annual. Must have a GPA of 3.0.

Szwed Family Scholarhip Fund: Award up to $1250, annual. Renewable. Rising sophomore or junior status  having earned a minimum of 30 credit hours. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Margaret Taber Scholarship: Award up to $1000, annual. Preference for women applicants.

Keith N. Ward Scholarship: Award up to $1500, annual. Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA. Junior or Senior.

EE students who have participated in a cooperative education experience will  be invited to apply for the below:

Martin and Black Family Scholarship. Award up to $1250, annual. Must live in Cuyahoga County. The CEEL office will send eligible students invites. 


Lincoln Electric Scholars Award

  • Chemical, Electrical, and Mechanical majors.
  • Awards will be up to $5000, annual.
  • Must have sophomore standing during the Fall 2021 term and a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Applicant must have an interest in manufacturing and have the ability to accept a co-op assignment no later than Summer 2022. Students will be evaluated during the co-op assignment and will be invited to reapply for the scholarship based on performance during the co-op experience.
  • Diverse applicants (women and ethnic minorities)are strongly encouraged to apply.

Chia Fan Foundation Scholarship Award

  • Current Electrical Engineering major of the Washkewicz College of Engineering. 
  • Awards up to $2000, annual.
  • Enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester for the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 academic year.
  • Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.6 or higher as of June 1st, 2024.
  • Academic Standing: Sophmore Level; Junior Level; Senior Level.
  • Demonstrates finanical need.
  • DEADLINE: March 31st, 2024.
