“In a real sense all life is inter-related. All men/women are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be, and you can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be.”
These words spoken by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., scholar and civil rights and social justice advocate, hold profound significance to me and are the foundation of what I believe the work of our division is all about. The Division of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement is committed to institutional and community diversity, equity and inclusion.
