Preston White Assistive Technology Learning Center

AT Lab Computer Configuration

The ATLC has 7 workstations. 6 of the workstations have scanners; 3 large bed Epson DS 50000 scanners with an 11x17 inch scan bed, 2 Epson 4490 scanners with a regular scan bed, and 1 Epson GT S50 with an ADF. All are networked to a black and white LaserJet printer, a Tiger Emprint Braille Embosser, and a Juliet Braille embosser. Two of the workstations have 21.5 inch touch screen monitors attached to monitor arms. The other 4 PC workstations have 24 inch monitors. The ATLC has one 27" iMac running Mountain Lion with Kurzweil 3000, Inspiration, Read&Write Gold, ZoomText, iWorks, and MS Office.

All of our workstations require a valid CSU ID and password to be able to login. ZoomText speech and magnification is enabled on the Login screen for all of our Windows PC's. All students logging in have access to all programs but only are granted User permission. If a student needs access to a specific software package that is not installed pleas contact the Assistive Technology Specialist to make arrangements. For programs running on our server for activation or storing settings students need permissions granted to resources that are only automatically granted to students registered with Disability Services. Contact the Assistive Technology Specialist to make arrangements.
