Victor Reader Streams

Our Victor Reader Streams can only be borrowed if the student is eligible to receive Alternative Text from our office. The Victor Reader Stream Reads DAISY books like those available through BookShare.org and also our scanned textbooks

Comfort Audio Contego

These are personal FM systems that assist a person with a hearing loss to listen to the professor while filtering out extraneous classroom noise. They are also good for helping a student with an attention deficit disorder to keep focus on the professor.

XTag and Blue Snowball Microphones

These microphones are checked out to students that are receiving remote realtime captioning as an accommodation. The Xtag microphone clips onto the professors shirt or to a lanyard necklace. The Blue Snowball microphone sits on the desktop and picks up the sound from the classroom by using either omnidirectional or directional patterns.

HP Laptops (2)

Disability Services has a couple of 15.6 inch laptops that can be borrowed for the duration of a semester. These laptops are only available specifically if the student making the request has field work that they are receiving CSU credit for where assistive technology is required and cannot be installed on a computer at the work site. These requests need to be coordinated between Disability Services and the department supervising the field work.
