To ensure a skilled workforce, many industries have developed and implemented industry-recognized credentials to connect individuals to the skills they need to enter into and advance in jobs.
Through competency-based, non-credit credential programs students master a knowledge area or industry skill. Students may advance quickly or take time to understand a difficult concept. At the end of full course completion (usually three or four modules), students receive a “Credential of Expertise” backed by the rigorous academic quality standards of Cleveland State University.
CBE courses may be online, in-person, or a blended format.
