The mission of Progressive Arts Alliance is to deepen the learning experience for students, educators, and artists by designing and implementing innovative, arts-integrated, project-based learning programs.

In-school residencies: Professional artist-educators conduct intensive, hands-on project-based learning experiences that enable students to learn in and through the arts while gaining a deeper understanding of non-arts objectives.

Out of school time programming: Progressive Arts Alliance works with area organizations (including libraries, nonprofits, and community agencies) to provide summer and afterschool programming in the arts. One of our signature programs is RHAPSODY (Recognizing Hip-Hop As a Powerful Source Of Development for Youth) Hip-Hop Summer Arts Program, and we also develop visual arts and technology-rich camps and workshops which can be customized.

Professional Development: We work closely with educators and other artists to provide training related to the arts, technology, project-based learning, and content areas.

We estimate we serve approximately 5,000 people annually.
