Founded in 1991, Arts Renaissance Tremont (ART) enhances Greater Cleveland’s cultural life by making live music of the highest artistic quality accessible to all. The area’s finest professional musicians perform 8-10 concerts annually, establishing Cleveland historic landmark, Pilgrim Congregational Church, as a serious concert venue. ART celebrates beauty, creates community and supports the economic development and rebirth of Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood. (Note: ART has no paid staff. All funds raised support concert expenses.)
Education and Outreach
Arts Renaissance for Kids (ARK) introduces neighborhood children/families to musical instruments and local musicians through live performances and educational presentations. We have also provided pre-K/Kindergarten music classes for children at Merrick House (2016). (Limited ARK programs given in neighborhood schools, libraries, Merrick House Community Center and Pilgrim Church.) ART collects non-perishable food items at concerts for neighborhood distribution by the Pilgrim Food Pantry, Dick Berlo, Manager.
We offer PreK-12 programs in school and after school, including CMSD and other school districts. We do not provide bus transportation. Our programs annually serve approximately 100-200 children and families. ART concerts draw many senior adults.
