Bill Ransom

Bill Ransom is the JHO's pecussionist. He attended Ohio University and Cleveland State University where he studied Music Education and Performance. He has studied with Guy Remonko (Ohio University), Joe Adato (Cleveland Orchestra), Tim Adams (Pittsburgh Symphony), Peter Erskine (Weather Report, Yellow Jackets, Steps Ahead), Victor Lewis (Bobby Watson) and Bill Summers (Diane Reeves, Herbie Hancock). Bill has toured and recorded with various jazz and R&B artisits such as Najee, Don Braden, Marion Meadows, Gerald LeVert, The O'Jays, Beth Hart, Edwin McCain, Pamela Williams, Mary Wilson, Diane Reesves and Kenny Garret. He is currently head of the Department of Jazz and American Music at the Cleveland Music School Settelemnt, and is also percussion advisor for the Shaker Heights School District.
