Are you feeling stressed out or overwhelmed by all the academic writing you need to get done? Do you wish you knew some fun, stress-free, energizing techniques to help jumpstart your summer writing productivity? In this friendly and engaging workshop, you will learn practical writing techniques to help you establish and maintain a regular writing habit all summer long. In addition, you will bring writing to work on during the day. You will leave with a feeling of accomplishment, an opportunity to practice the techniques that you are learning along with a plan for your writing along with progress on an actual grant or manuscript.
Guest Speaker Dr. Chlup: Dr. Dominique T. Chlup is an Associate Professor in the Adult Education and Human Resource Development (HRD) program at Texas A&M University and an Affiliate Faculty Member in the Women’s and Gender Studies program. Additionally, she is a Creativity Coach and the Associate Director of the Promoting Outstanding Writing for Excellence in Research (POWER) initiative. Dr. Chlup spends most of her spare time coaching students and faculty in how to develop stress-free writing habits.
She has an MFA from Harvard University, a PhD in Teaching and Learning from the University of Pennsylvania. She is the author/co-author on over $6.7 million in funded grant projects. She has authored/co-authored over 200 publications and presentations, each of them written one word at a time.
