College Credit Plus- CCP

We take very seriously the partnership between families and the College Credit Plus program in supporting student growth and success.  In order to assist families to navigate the difference between high school and university settings, we have provided families with these resources.

CSU-Specific information

Notice of Nondiscrimination:  Cleveland State University is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in employment and education. No person at the university will be denied the opportunity for employment or education or be subject to discrimination in any project, program, or activity because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, genetic information, sexual orientation, disability, disabled veteran, Vietnam era veteran or other protected veteran status.

Cleveland State University has a preferred name policy.  This means that we have structures in place for any person at the university (student, staff, faculty) can choose to go by a name that is different from the one that may appear on his or her legal documentation.  This is common for students, staff, and faculty who come from international populations or for students, staff, and faculty who may identify as transgender, gender-nonconforming, or any other identity expression.  If your CCP student is in need of information about this policy, please contact the Office of Institutional Equity at 216.687.2223.

The CSU academic calendar may conflict with your child's high school schedule.  Please be aware that if the University is closed, your child's high school may still be in session and vice versa.  This is especially true for snow days.  Please be sure your student updates their information in CampusNet for the CSU Alert system that sends updates about closings due to severe weather.

FB page:  College Credit Plus at Cleveland State University is a great place for parents to connect to the CCP program at CSU through social media.  This page is a repository of articles and videos focusing on adolescent development, learning, mental health, major and career exploration, and other relevant topics.
