The Information Systems Major and Career Options

11:30 AM to 12:30 PM - What is IT and IS?
College of Business students heard from Information Technology and Information Systems professionals who will spoke about why you should major in Information Systems as well as the number of career options across Cleveland area businesses. Representing not only the IT industry, the panel discussed how IT/IS is applicable to nearly all areas of business and how there is growing opportunity in this field. The panel featured:
- Jackie Reichenbach, Applications Team Manager, KeyBank
- Michael DeJohn, General Counsel and Director of Corporate Development, CampusEAI Consortium
- Alyssa Levicky, Associate Software Developer at Hyland, creators of OnBase
4:00 PM to 6:00 PM - Career Options and Networking
In the 4:00 PM session, students were able to network with two high-level Cleveland-area employers who were looking for IT and IS students to fill employment opportunities within their respective organizations. These organizations regularly have both internship and full-time, permanent positions to fill.
