The Graduate Advising office provides services to current and prospective students regarding educational programming, planning, academic advising, graduation evaluation, petition services and scholarships.

Registration Assistance:

If you need help enrolling for courses? The Graduate Advising office can help! Send your registration requests to with the following information:

  1. Your 7-digit CSU student ID number
  2. Department name and course number of the course being requested - for example MBA 602
  3. Class meeting days/times
  4. Class section number
  5. Semester of course

Level II Waivers:

Pre-requisite courses within Level  II may be waived after departmental review. To submit a waiver request, please follow the following steps:

  1. Download the waiver request form here
  2. Complete a waiver request for each waiver that you are requesting
  3. Submit a current resume
  4. Submit transcripts
  5. Send all of the above information to the Graduate Advising office at


All students must complete a graduate application before a degree will be conferred. Applications may be obtained from the Graduate Advising Office in the Monte Ahuja College of Business (BU 327) or from the All-in-1 office located in Main Classroom Building Room 116. Guidelines for submitting a graduation application request may be found here.

Academic Regulations:

Credit hours: in order to be considered a full-time student, you must be registered for a minimum of eight (8) graduate credit hours.

Withdrawal: Please consult the CSU Academic Calendar for a listing of important registration dates, including withdrawal deadlines. Please note that ALT scheduled courses have earlier dates than traditional university courses. ALT deadlines are posted in Campus Net.

Academic Standing:

Academic Warning: Students will be reviewed by the Graduate Programs Committee if a grade of one "F" or two grades of less than a "B" are received. Please consult the Graduate Catalog for all graduate academic regulations and information about academic standing.


Students who have been academically dismissed from the university may petition for readmission following a one-year absence (minimum). In order to initiate a request for readmission, an appointment with an academic advisor is required. Please contact the Graduate Advising office for information regarding deadlines associated with this process.
