Marc BlubaughMarc Blubaugh
Partner, Benesch Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP

Marc is a partner at the law firm of Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff, where he serves as the Co-Chair of the firm’s nationally recognized Transportation & Logistics Practice Group, which was recognized yet again in 2017 by U.S. News & World Report as the “Transportation Law Firm of the Year” out of all law firms in the United States.  Marc represents commercial shippers, carriers of all modes and third-party logistics providers of all kinds in state and federal courts around the country.  He also regularly advises these businesses regarding contracting and regulatory issues and provides strategic advice to minimize liability. 

Marc is a Past President of the Transportation Lawyers Association and is an active leader in a number of other transportation and logistics-related trade associations, such as the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (where he was a two-term President of the Columbus Roundtable), the Intermodal Association of North America (where he serves as outside General Counsel), the American Trucking Associations, the Transportation Intermediaries Association, the National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council, the International Warehousing Logistics Association and the Transportation Logistics Council.  He frequently presents on the subject of transportation and logistics at industry events throughout North America.

Dan ConwayDaniel Conway
Professor, University of South Florida and Chief Operating Officer, The Apollo Group

Daniel Conway currently serves on the faculty at USF in Tampa, Florida, where he teaches and researches blockchain, IoT (Internet of Things), Artificial Intelligence and analytics.  Over the past 20 years, he has also served on faculty at Indiana University, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Florida, Virginia Tech and Iowa.  He is on the SAE IoT program committee, a columnist for CognitiveWorld and was the first Professor in Residence at Cisco Systems.  He is Chief Operating Officer of the blockchain startup The Apollo Group, Chief Data Officer at QLytix, and serves as an advisor to several blockchain startup companies.  He can be reached anytime at datasciencedan@gmail.com, as his boat has wifi.

James HarrounJames Harroun
Senior Analytical Training Consultant, SAS® Global Academic Program

James Harroun holds a Master of Science degree in Information Science and Bioinformatics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. James’s interests include data integration, the validation and curation of big data and aligning organizations’ data structures with analytical and reporting needs. James has worked in data management and analytics for more than 20 years as a database modeler, ETL programmer, data analyst, data integration specialist and certified SAS programmer for private businesses and higher education institutions. 

James is currently a senior analytical training consultant in the SAS Global Academic Program and he assists higher education institutions in the effective use of SAS. James will present Get Your Hands (And Eyes) on the Data As Soon As Possible!

Manufacturing Industry Principal, SAS®

Roger Thomas, Manufacturing Industry Principal with SAS, has spent twenty years advising and delivering on supply chain solutions for the manufacturing industry. He has a specialty focus in leveraging analytics within IBP processes and brings a wealth of experience in understanding both the technology and change management aspects critical for success.

Roger’s advisory and implementation experience ranges from focused start-ups to large, multinational enterprises. Roger will present Implications of Big Data in the Supply Chain.



Zhongcai ZhangZhongcai Zhang, Ph.D.
First Senior Vice President, Chief Analytics Officer, New York Community Bancorp, Inc.

A senior analytics executive in the Financial Services industry, Zhongcai provides thought leadership on and serves as chief architect for the development of innovative analytic solutions to business challenges. At New York Community Bancorp, Zhongcai is respoinsible for enterprise-wide business analytics, providing operation and strategic decision support to such areas as retail deposit management, customer acquisition and retention, product cross-selling, deposit pricing and product development, liquidity management, product and branch profitability and process optimization. His background includes publishing and conference speaking on analytics, business intelligence and retail deposit management. 

Zhongcai will present The Future of Business Analytics: A Practitioner's Perspective.
