Marketing Duo Place 4th in AMA Marketing Strategy Competition

Cleveland State Marketing majors Amanda Thompson and Amalia Jerse placed 4th out of 90 competing teams from schools across the nation in the Marketing Strategy Competition at the AMA International Collegiate Conference in April 2018, held in New Orleans.

The Marketing Strategy Competition is held at the annual AMA International Collegiate Conference. In the competition, each team is given a one-page case.

Teams have 20 minutes to formulate their response/recommendations, 7 minutes to present to a panel of judges and then 3 minutes for questions from the judges.

"I am extremely proud of their efforts," said AMA advisor Kim Ruggeri.

"We were happy to represent Cleveland State," said Amanda and Amalia. "This award is the result of everything we have learned from our professors and we are grateful for the opportunities afforded to us through the American Marketing Association."
