Points of Pride

Kristin Davis

Kristin DavisKristin Davis visited Cleveland State three times before she decided to attend. “It just felt right,” said the Management and Labor Relations major. “I liked everything about CSU, the location is perfect, the faculty and staff I met and then a tour in the Business College was when I thought about majoring in business.”

Kristin began as a Finance major and then switched to Management after speaking with assistant dean Anne Nelson and Mr. Glasscock about her career aspirations to go into family law as a litigator. She particularly enjoyed her Human Resources Information Systems class taught by Patricia Baszuk, CSU alumna working in CSU’s Human Resources Department.

“I am so grateful to all of the support that Mr. Glasscock has provided,” she said. “Mr. Glasscock has called me several times and the entire Glasscock family is so supportive and wants to see us succeed. Mr. Glasscock even helped schedule an interview with a company for one of my classes.”

While at CSU Kristin worked on campus in Parking Services and the Residence Halls and was a member of Theta Phi Alpha, a sorority on-campus. Kristin served as an Executive Board Member and Treasurer for her sorority. In addition to being a Glasscock Scholar, Kristin received the Provost Award and other scholarships from her high school.

Kristin earned a Co-op position at Bendix in Marketing and worked full-time her senior year. “I enjoy working there and have learned so much from my supervisor,” Kristin added.

Kristin hopes to earn her JD/MBA, work in family law and eventually hopes to open her own law firm and go into private practice.
