Kenneth J. Semelsberger

SemelsbergerMr. Semelsberger previously served as president and CEO, and is presently chairman of the Scott Fetzer Company, where he has been employed for over 35 years. Scott Fetzer, headquartered in Westlake, Ohio is a diversified corporation with 21 operating companies throughout the United States and joint ventures around the world. In 1986 Scott Fetzer became a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.

Mr. Semelsberger studied engineering at Fenn College of Engineering prior to serving in the United Stated Army. After an honorable discharge, Mr. Semelsberger earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1970 and an MBA in 1972 from Cleveland State University. He received CSU’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 1990 and in 2002, when he was also awarded an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration Degree.

Mr. Semelsberger has served as a director on many business and joint venture boards, including Cleveland State University Foundation, Cleveland Tomorrow and Playhouse Square. In addition, he has served as chairman for Southwest Hospital, Cancer Center Fund Raising, and the College of Business Visiting Committee.
