Erica Pizzolato

Erica PizzolatoErica Pizzolato is the 2018 recipient of the Student Achievement Award from the Federation of Schools of Accountancy (FSA) at Cleveland State University. Each year, the FSA recognizes superior students enrolled in the fifth year of 150-hour accounting programs leading to a post-baccalaureate degree. 

Graduating in May 2018, Erica plans to begin preparation for the CPA exam and will begin her public accounting career with RSM's tax practice in October 2018.

During her time at Cleveland State, Erica has been very involved with Beta Alpha Psi, serving as Secretary for the 2017-2018 academic year. Along with her Executive Board members, she won Deloitte's Best Practices at the 2018 Beta Alpha Psi Midwest Regional Conference and Grant Thornton's Ethics Award. Erica will be traveling to Washington D.C. this summer to compete in the Beta Alpha Psi Annual Meeting.

In addition to her work with Beta Alpha Psi, she is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the Institute of Management Accountants. Erica previously interned at a regional public accounting firm and is the recipient of a number of scholarships. She is grateful to the generosity and support of donors and alumni at CSU.

Prior to graduate school, Erica obtained her Bachelors in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University and worked in Cleveland, Ohio and Sacaramento, California in a number of health care roles. Erica continues to work as a nurse at University Hospitals and is looking forward to the next chater of her life as a CPA. She plans to be an engaged alumna and show her gratitude for the support that Cleveland State has provided.
