DBA Students Present at International Applied Research Symposium

In early November 2017, a team from Cleveland State University including faculty, staff and three Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) students travelled to Beirut in Lebanon to attend the International Applied Research Symposium The Transformative Power of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystems: Lessons Learned  at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik.

The event was co-organized by the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and faculty and staff from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the Monte Ahuja College of Business. 

The team included: Dr. Sanjay Putrevu, Dean; Dr. Raj Javalgi, Associate Dean; Colette Hart, Executive Director for the Centers for Outreach and Engagement; Dominic Buccierri, DBA student, Nicholas Mathew, DBA Student and LaToya Russell, DBA Student.

DBA Alumni who presented included Patrick Gaughan, Associate Professor of Law and Assistant Dean of Global Engagement, University of Akron and Charles Bryant, Assistant Professor of International Business at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.

In addition, Cleveland State University Startup Vikes former mentors and judges Charles Stack, Co-Founder and CEO of Flashstarts; Shannon Lyons, Chief Operations Officer of Flashstarts and Cal Al-Dhubaib, Chief Data Scientist and Partner of Pandata, USA attended the Symposium and spoke as panelists on a variety of topics.
