2018 Golden Apple Awards

2018 Golden Apple AwardeesCleveland State University is made great by the many faculty and staff who impact our students on a daily basis. The Golden Apple Award is an initiative sponsored by the Young Alumni Council of the CSU Alumni Association to recognize the outstanding contributions of our dedicated faculty and staff to the lives of students.

Nominations are accepted from alumni who graduated in the past decade. The Monte Ahuja College of Business had 13 honorees at the fifth annual event during Homecoming 2018 on Wednesday, September 28th including 11 faculty, 2 staff members and 3 alumni (two of which are also faculty members).

The College of Business honorees were:

  • Susan Barnes, Management Department
    • This is the second year for Susan Barnes to be honored.
    • She was an honoree in 2016.
  • Patricia Baszuk, Human Resources Information Systems Manager and MBA alumna 
  • Injazz Chen, Operations & Supply Chain Management Department,
    • This is the second year for Injazz Chen to be honored.
    • He was an honoree in 2016.
  • Jen-Yi (Jay) Chen, Operations & Supply Chain Management Department
  • Christine Dickinson, Marketing Department
    • This is the second year for Christine Dickinson to be honored.
    • She was an honoree in 2016.
  • Raymond Henry, Information Systems Department
  • Mark Holtzblatt, Accounting Department
  • Kim Hurn, Operations & Supply Chain Management Department
  • Roger Klee, Finance Department
  • Paul Lee, Accounting Department
  • Michael Niro, Finance Department,
    • This is the second year for Michael Niro to be honored. 
    • Michael is also a two-time alumnus of Cleveland State University earning both his MBA and DBA. 
    • He was an honoree in 2015.
  • Bryan Pesta, Management Department
  • Kimberly Ruggeri, Marketing Department
    • This is the second year for Kim Ruggeri to be honored.
    • Kim is also an MBA alumna.
    • She was an honoree in 2017.
