Up to five poems, or 10 single-sided pages. Poet's name, address, phone & email must appear on each page of every poem submitted. A cover letter listing number of poems enclosed & their titles is a good idea.

(proz) n.

Under 5,000 words is best.  Double-space.  The first page of each story must have work's title, author's name, address, phone & email.  Word counts are appreciated.

(ärt) n.

Should be black & white.  Query for color.  Email submissions only.  High resolution version 300 dpi.

(fyi) prep. phr.

We read submissions all year. We accept email submissions. Please put "Poetry Submission" or "Prose Submission" in the subject line. Send to whiskeyisland@csuohio.edu . Editorial staff and tastes change yearly.

Include a brief bio.

Simultaneous submissions are ok. Please let us know right away if your piece is accepted elsewhere.

Unpublished work only. We ask for first English-language print serial rights. Payment is two contributor copies and one year subscription.

Send contest entries 10/1--3/31 of each year. Winners announced by 6/1. Enclose SASE for results; no entries are returned.
