    Refund Policy -- Last day for Fall Term Textbook Refunds is September 5.. All refunds and exchanges must be accompanied by a CSU Bookstore purchase receipt (or packing list). Refunds may be shipped to the CSU Bookstore for processing at the customers expense or accomplished in person at the bookstore. Top

Copy Machine
A coin-operated copy machine is available to students in the Student Lounge, Room 210, at 10 cents per copy. Top

Library & Research Computer Access
The University Library provides a variety of services for off-campus students including delivery of library books, journal articles via fax, e-mail, or U.S. mail. Off-campus students can visit the University Library web site for more information. Top

Library books from the CSU Library can be delivered to/dropped off at the West Center. This is how it works:

  • Visit http://scholar.csuohio.edu to search for books
  • If the status of the desired books is available click on "request."
  • Fill in all the required information and choose West Center as the pick-up location.
  • An email confirmation will be sent to you.
  • Your book(s) should arrive at the West Center within 48-72 hours.
  • Bring your Viking Card (CSU ID) to Room 312 of the West Center to pick up your book.

Admission
Cleveland State University makes it easy to be admitted. Please visit the Admissions web site or apply in person at West Center in Room 312. Top

Registration
Register on-line through CampusNet. If you need a CampusNet password, please call Information Services & Technology at 216.687.5050 (at prompt press "1"). Top

Tuition Payments
Online payments can be made from your computer. Once registered, you can check your account online and make your payment directly to the Office of Treasury Services. The Office of Treasury Services accepts Master Card, American Express and Discover credit card payments. Budget Payment Plan and Tuition Reimbursement forms may be faxed to the Office of Treasury Services at (216) 687-3500.

CSU has introduced a new payment option --"Electronic Check." Write your check on-line using CampusNet. Funds will electronically move from your bank account to pay your tuition. Electronic Check is a safe and secure way to pay your tuition and there is not cost to use this service.

NOTE: A 2.9% service fee will be added to all student accounts using either a credit card or debit card for tuition payment. Top

  • Placement Testing
    Placement testing is required for all new freshmen and transfer students in Mathematics. Testing is available online or at West Center by appointment. For further information and instruction on Math Placement Testing, contact the Testing Center at (216) 687-2566.
  • Students without an ACT or SAT score must take the English Placement Exam. Students dissatisfied with their placements can also take the English Placement Exam. Otherwise,
    Students with an ACT/SAT test score of 15/370 or lower on the English/Verbal section are placed into English 085.
    • Students with an ACT/SAT test score between 16-19/380-460 on the English/Verbal section are placed into English 090.
    • Students with an ACT/SAT test score between 20-25/470-580 on the English/Verbal section are placed into English 101.
    • Students with an ACT/SAT test score of 26/590 or higher on the English/Verbal section are placed into English 102. Note: Students admitted in Fall 2004 or later will be given credit for ENG 101 if they place directly into English 102. Top

Computers
Computers are available in Room 312, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 to 3:30 p.m. during the semester.

Wireless is available at the West Center and it enables you to access the CSU network and the internet from almost any place at CSU. All you need is a compatible wireless network card (most laptop computers come with one), a CSU ID, a configured machine, and you are all set to use wireless. Go yo IS & T and click on "Get Connected" and then "Internet Access on Campus." Top

Anti-Virus Software

Anti-Virus software for your personal windows computer or mac is available to all current students for FREE. Please bring a photo id to the front desk.

Student Lounge
The student lounge offers students an area to study, work on projects, make copies, or just enjoy a beverage or snack from a variety of vending machines in the lounge. Top

Viking Card (CSU IDs)
The Viking Card is provided to every student enrolled at Cleveland State University. The Viking Card is the key to all University programs and services. To receive a Viking Card, have your picture taken. Please be prepared to verify your identification with another form of photo ID. Your card will be available for pick up at the West Center within one week. Top

CampusNet
As a Cleveland State student, you have access to the CampusNet system. It is your online source to forward email, change phone numbers or addresses, view grades or unofficial transcripts, manage your account information, make online payments and more. Top

West Center Updates Via Email
West Center sends periodic emails to West Center students (Cleveland State email addresses) regarding events occurring at the Center. Please check your email regularly, or forward your Cleveland State email to your personal email address. Both your email and home addresses can be changed using CampusNet. Top

Parking
Free parking is available to all West Center students. Top

Laptop Loaners
Five laptops loaners are available for your use while at West Center. If you are in need of a computer for group project, if student computers are in use or you just need to get something done, please feel free to use one of the laptop loaners. They are wireless and may be borrowed for up to 4 hours -- they must remain on the premises. To rent a laptop or get more information, please visit Room 312 on the Third Floor.Top

Recycling

Please take advantage of our recycling program. Containers are located throughout the Center and are labeled for specific items.
