Tuition & Fees

The costs for tuition vary depending on your residency and level of degree as well as costs such as room and board, parking and many other items. Fall 2011Tuition Rates can be seen here.

Payment Options

West Center cannot accept tuition payments. However, students may pay online at Campusnet, by mail, or in person at the Office of Treasury Services.Once registered, you can check your account online and make your payment directly to the Office of Treasury Services. MasterCard and Discover credit cards are accepted; Visa is not. Payment due dates are listed on your invoice or you can check the Office of Treasury Services website for an approximate due date. There are several payment options available to students such as the Budget Payment Plan (BPP) or Employer Tuition Reimbursement Deferred Payment Plan.   • The Budget Payment Plan (BPP).Summer 2011 BPP Form and on CampusNet.
  • Three Payment Budget Payment Plan. This option is available for the Summer 2011 semester only. Payments are due in May, June and July. There is a nonrefundable $30.00 service fee for this plan. The second, third, fourth and fifth installments are calculated by dividing the remaining balance into four equal monthly payments. semester.
  • The Employer Tuition Reimbursement Deferred Payment Plan allows a student whose employer offers a tuition reimbursement program to defer 75 percent of the current fees until 30 days after the end of the semester. The first payment of 25 percent plus a service fee of $30.00 is due on your paymentdue date along with the letter from your employer verifying that you are currently employed and qualify for the tuition reimbursement program and the completed and signed payment plan application form. Application forms are available at the Office of Treasury Services and CampusNet .
  • Check 21. The "Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act," also known as "Check 21" has been implemented within our Office.  Check 21 allows Cleveland State to convert each paper check into a digital image, able to be transmitted electronically to the bank. 
    • Please be aware that funds are often debited from your account the same day your check is presented.  It is important to make sure you have funds available in your account when you present a check as a form of payment.
    • For example, if you drop off a check for an installment of your budget payment plan on Friday at 3pm, your checking account will be debited before 6pm that same day.  If funds are not available, your account will be charged a "non-sufficient funds" or NSF check fee of $30.

    Disclosure Notification:
    When you provide a check as payment, you authorize CSU to either use the information from your check to make a one-time electronic funds transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction.
    When we use information from your check to make an electronic funds transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment.

All of the payment plans require that a completed and signed application form be submitted every semester. The form must be filled out, signed, and submitted with the appropriate payment by the payment due date. You are not eligible for a payment plan if are not in good financial standing with Cleveland State University. Incomplete payment plan application forms and/or employer verification letters will be returned and payment will be due in full. Changes to your schedule (adds and drops) may not be included in the equal installments. Please pay charges according to the invoice you receive. Unpaid and/or underpaid installments will receive a late payment fee.

Payments may be mailed to Office of Treasury Services, Cleveland State University, 2121 Euclid Avenue, MC 115, Cleveland, Ohio 44115, or credit card payments (Mastercard, Discover or American Express) may be made on CampusNet. A 2.9% service fee will be applied if you select this option.
