Erin Vokes received a Master's of Science degree in Urban Studies, with a concentration in Neighborhood Development, and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. She also received a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, with a minor in English from Cleveland State University.
She currently serves the University as a coordinator for urban research centers, including the Center for Nonprofit Policy and Practice, and the Center for Emergency Preparedness. Additionally, she is the managing director for the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC), an international membership association hosted by Cleveland State University, comprised of academic centers or programs at accredited colleges and universities that focus on the study of nonprofit/nongovernmental organizations, voluntarism, and/or philanthropy.
In addition to her employment in the College of Urban Affairs, Ms. Vokes serves in a variety of volunteer capacities for several nonprofit Boards of Directors. She is currently the Secretary for the All Faiths Pantry, the President of the West End Lakewood Business Alliance, and a member of the Associate Board for the Beck Center for the Arts. In the recent past, Ms. Vokes founded her own grassroots social enterprise which fostered community and economic development through special arts and cultural events. She is also a member of the Nu Lambda Mu international honors society.
