The Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs offers nine certificate programs that equip students with the technical and management skills needed to launch careers in such fields as public management, urban planning, non-profit management, real estate development, economic development, and Geographic Information Systems.
Certificate classes are taught by Cleveland State University faculty, researchers, instructors, and professionals working in the region. Many programs also draw on the experience and knowledge of the professionals associated with the research and public service centers of the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs. They are supplemented by local government leaders drawn from practice.
Degree Seeking Graduate Students
Students enrolled in a graduate program at CSU need to file, as early as possible in their course work, a letter stating their intent to complete the certificate program requirements (specify the date of completion for each course intended to count toward the certificate). The letter of intent should be submitted to the Graduate Advisor in the Levin College.
