Chekhov in Yalta

by John Driver and Jeffrey Haddow

Convalescing in Yalta, preeminent dramatist Anton Chekhov is descended upon by the Moscow Art Theatre, including co-founders Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, as well as love interest and MAT actress Olga Knipper. Far from a dry historic reenaction, Chekhov in Yalta is a breakneck comedy, complete with ribald farce and madcap misunderstandings.
