Test Preparation Courses - GRE

Graduate Record Exam (GRE) Preparation Class - With increasing numbers of students applying to graduate school, admission is more competitive than ever. For students thinking about a graduate degree, a good score on the Graduate Record Exam is important. Used by colleges and universities throughout the country as an indicator of general verbal, mathematical, and analytical reasoning ability, the GRE score is viewed by admissions officers as a significant predictor of performance in graduate programs. The test itself currently consists of seven separately timed sections focusing on quantitative, verbal, and logical reasoning skills. Tested in the quantitative section are basic mathematical skills and understanding of algebra and geometry, quantitative reasoning and problem solving, and the ability to interpret graphic data. The verbal section focuses on reading comprehension, vocabulary, and analogy questions. Instructors place emphasis on test content, discussing sound test-taking techniques and strategies. Adequate preparation is imperative to success on the GRE; the key to test taking is having confidence in one's knowledge and ability.
