Six northeastern Ohio institutions of higher education entered into a partnership to help bridge the gap in mathematics preparation between high school and college. The collaborating institutions are Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, Cuyahoga Community College, Kent State University, the University of Akron and Youngstown State University. Each institution will be offering 20 scholarships each year for the next four years to students interested in pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) major. The scholarships are funded by the State of Ohio and criteria for award of the scholarships varies among the six institutions. Please follow the links below to get additional details on how to apply.
This site is under development and additional information will be posted in the coming weeks. Presently, the Cleveland State link provides detailed information. The other links will be active soon.
Additional information about the Success in Mathematics Choose Ohio First initiative will be added as the program is developed. For more information contact Barbara Margolius, at Cleveland State University, 216-687-5559.
