It's hard to spend a day on campus without seeing Selena! She is proud to be a Latina first generation college student, serves as the PR Representative for the Gay Lesbian and Straight Alliance (GLASA), as a Peer Mentor for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, is a member of Latinos Unidos, El Club de Español, Students Today Alumni Tomorrow, The Black Student Union, Students for Animal Liberation and Defense (SALAD), Cleveland State Video game club, Non-Prophets, CSU Students for an Ethical Economy (SEE), TRIO Student Support Services, Student Environmental Movement (SEM), CSU American Sign Language Club, The Meditation Club, Student Advocates for a Vegetarian Ethic (SAVE), hosts the annual CSU Safer Sex Festival and recently returned from studying abroad in China. Every now and then Selena even takes time to sleep!

If you ask Danielle why she chose Cleveland State she'll tell you that she checked out several other state schools, but when she set foot on the CSU campus she knew she was home. When Danielle isn't cheering on the Cavaliers from a watch-party in one of the CSU dormitories you can find her in the new Student Center, planning on-campus activities with Young People's Initiative (YPI), teaching aerobics or welcoming visitors to the Mareyjoyce Green Women's Center.

Kathryn is, among other things, the mother of four beautiful children, a founding member of the Single-Parent Network (a campus organization that supports single-parents and military spouses), and a beginning German language student. She earned a Master of Arts in history (May, 2010) and continues to take classes at CSU as well as teach women's studies part-time at Cuyahoga Community College. Kathryn will begin doctoral studies in medieval history in the fall.

Monica returned to CSU in 2008 to finish her Bachelor's degree in Political Science after a 20-year hiatus and is now enrolled in the Master of Accountancy Program in the Nance School of Business. She is the President of Return to Learn Student Support Group for women coming back to school, the mother of two wonderful children and an officer in the Single-Parent Student Network. Monica has been a Graduate Assistant in the Mareyjoyce Green Women's Center since May, 2009, where she shares her passion for helping women and keeps us laughing.
